Hi Matt, I notice the bbmail package is currently still marked for adoption. I am interested in becoming a Debian developer in the future, so I thought maybe starting with a small package such as this would give me a taste of how it's like.
I use Blackbox and bbmail on my Debian Testing box at home. As I said before, I'm not a Debian Developer, nor do I have a New Maintainer application lodged. For now, I am thinking the best route to take is for you to sponsor me. There are a few bugs against bbmail at the moment, which I am willing to put some time into fixing. In addition, there is also a newer upstream release (v0.8.3), which I would like to merge in with the package. I notice Thomas Belger had sent an e-mail regarding his interest in adopting the package too, but it was dated 1 June 2003. Is he still interested in taking it up?
