I use gq at home and for work, and I'm having a nice experience with the upstream beta version, which solves the majority of the reported bugs. I know LDAP quite well, but I'm not a gtk expert... :/ Anyway, if no one better shows up I'm willing to maintain and eventually comaintain gq... Let me know... Thanks, Guido
