[snip] can i just say that this kind of message/thread is exactly why i love this list? it's precisely this kind of info that i haven't sought out, and therefore haven't found forthcoming, and it's also this kind of info that encourages me to get more involved, be a package maintainer ... or at least, it plants the seeds.
