oh, rather than filling up each %{ @mirror[$id] } hash with two more
scalars, create two new lookup hashes for country names and codes, and use them
instead of all that repetitive regex matching of Country fields all around the
place; stop using $hassomething as counters, and instead construct hashes
(allows for later %countries_sorted usage)
