Severity: normal

At http://www.debian.org/Bugs/Developer I read:

If you wish to send a followup message which is not appropriate for
debian-bugs-dist you can do so by sending it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
[EMAIL PROTECTED], which only file it (not forwarding it anywhere)
and send it on only to the maintainer of the package in question,
    respectively.

This sentence should be clearer. I've rewritten it as follows, but
you ought to check to be sure I've understood the first one properly,
since I'm not sure I do:

If you wish to send a followup message that is not appropriate for
debian-bugs-dist, you can do so by sending it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] or
[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is filed in the Bug
Tracking System but is not delivered to any individuals or mailing
lists. Mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] is filed in the Bug Tracking
System and is delivered only to the maintainer of the package in
    question.

reassign 48848 www.debian.org
thanks

Hi,

You are right, the explanation of maintonly and quiet messages is a bit
unclear in Bugs/Developer. I've fixed it in CVS now, it should propagate to
the web site in less than 8 hours.

Thanks for reporting.
