You apparently don't know apt-get.org - they already maintain such a
list.
I'm filing a (wishlist) bug with the www.debian.org pseudopackage that
the 'Getting Debain' page, or even the 'Getting Started' section of the
title page should contain a hint like
Some Software is not included in Debian for various reasons, but
is
nonetheless available as debian packages. apt-get.org
maintains a list of such software.
Something like that.
