Sorted, ( rtfm ( in Swedish ! ) Client (IE) language was set to en-us with no others. ( I suppose that en-us is the MS default )
I have set it to en and now we're happy. Still weird that it should give me Swedish and moot as to what the server should have done if en-us was requested.
