The Debian voting system uses the Condorcet voting system.
Reading the results of votes is quite hard for a novice.
I suggest to add the following text to http://www.debian.org/vote/:
<p>The Standard Resolution Procedure, which involves voting, is
described in appendix A of the
<a href="http://www.debian.org/devel/constitution">Debian Constitution</a>.
For more information how to read the beat matrix, which is published as the
outcome of votes, you may look at this
<a href="http://www.electionmethods.org/CondorcetEx.htm">example</a> of the
<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Condorcet_method">Condorcet voting
system</a>.
