thanks for your report! I've added the options -O and -L (follow redirects) 
to the example on the web page.

Right, but the whole point of the exercise is to have curl resume the 
download when it has been interrupted. So we just provide one command which 
works in both cases, new download and resumed download.

No, I left the "-C -" in.
