It looks like a Chris Unger is multiplexing these sites; see: $ whois linuxisos.de [Holder] Type: PERSON Name: Chris Unger Address: Bruederstrasse 8 Pcode: 08412 City: Werdau Country: DE Changed: 2006-09-07T19:58:06+02:00 $ whois freesoft-shop.de [Holder] Type: PERSON Name: Chris Unger Organisation: linuxisos.de Address: Kohlenstra?e 4 Pcode: 08432 City: Steinpleis Country: DE Changed: 2007-02-22T10:44:31+01:00 $ whois tuxonline-shop.de [Holder] Type: PERSON Name: Chris Unger Organisation: linuxisos.de Address: Kohlenstra?e 4 Pcode: 08432 City: Steinpleis Country: DE Changed: 2007-02-22T10:44:31+01:00 $ whois iso4linux.com [owner-c] handle: 9190861 [owner-c] type: PERSON [owner-c] title: [owner-c] fname: Ronny [owner-c] lname: Unger [owner-c] org: php-workx [owner-c] address: Altenzeller Str.10 [owner-c] city: Dresden [owner-c] pcode: 01069 [owner-c] country: DE [owner-c] state: Sachsen [owner-c] phone: +49-351-41749976 [owner-c] fax: +49-351-41749976 [owner-c] email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [owner-c] protection: B [owner-c] updated: 2006-10-09 10:22:46 In fact, just looking, it's quite likely that a lot of these sites are duplicates (or near duplicates) of eachother: index.php/cPath/161_50 <-- shows up for the "debian" page alot advanced_search_result.php?keywords=debian <-- as does this I'm not sure how many of these are just the same site rolled again, but it's quite possibly the case. [The reason for doing so would of course be to increase the likelyhood of someone ordering CDs using your front end.] I have no idea how to consistently distinguish legitimately separate businesses from mere duplicates, though. Don Armstrong -- [Panama, 1989. The U.S. government called it "Operation Just Cause".] I think they misspelled this. Shouldn't it be "Operation Just 'Cause"? -- TekPolitik http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=59669&cid=5664907 http://www.donarmstrong.com http://rzlab.ucr.edu -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
