Dear Sir or Madam, somehow i found different content of the links of
http://www.de.debian.org/vote/ http://www.de.debian.org/vote/index.en.html http://www.de.debian.org/vote/index.fr.html Please compare the links to the "Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping" of wikipedia. The english reference link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloneproof_Schwartz_Sequential_Dropping The german version of that page link to http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulze-Methode The french page link to http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Méthode_Schulze The spanish and all other remaining websites link to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloneproof_Schwartz_Sequential_Dropping It looks like that there was a description of the debian voting system named "Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping" first. The debian constituion dated June 21st, 2003 at http://www.de.debian.org/devel/constitution.1.1.en.html is talking about a schwartz set. Sorry, i am not an expert for voting procedures, but as far i understand that is something of (Cloneproof) Schwartz Sequential Dropping. The date of the first entry on the wiki at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Schulze_method&diff=prev&oldid=3737677 is 26 May 2004. That date the entry was called http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloneproof_Schwartz_Sequential_Dropping Today there is a redirect to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schulze_method Mr. Markus Schulze claims that debian uses "his" voting method. There are many questions the german article diskusion page at http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diskussion:Schulze-Methode relative to the publication of the "Schulze method". None of the answers can prove Schulze as the orignal inventor. The direct use of the schulze method on the german and french debian pages may be based on the wiki entry with the redirect from Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping to the schulze method. A redirect which was done by Mr. Schulze himself. The example of the debian vote/ page links to the Schwartz method with the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schwartz_method that link is redirected to the schulz method too. At this point i see some kind of capturing of other people work. Mr. Schulze lists companies using "his" voting method and debian can be found within that list. I would like to ask you the following: Do you have any piece of evidence this voting method was invented by Mr. Markus Schulze? Did Mr. Schulze took part on the development of any debian constitution? Did Mr. Schulze took a public improvement of a known voting system and claims it to be his own development? Does the difference of the Cloneproof Schwartz Sequential Dropping to the schulze method justifies the naming after Mr. Schulze? Best regards Jadima Laika -- Psssst!
