The reason I'm writing this mail is because I care about Debian, and Debian
project.
What I'm about to say is really a serious problem, and I hope you don't
dismiss this mail, because, when you think about it, no matter how trivial
it may sound, I have a good reason to send this e-mail across the ocean to
you (I'm from Europe). Actually, in my humble opinion, the biggest problem
ever on a web site.

What is it already? It's a complicated download. NO, don't close the e-mail.
You're doing the whole project a great favor, if you do this really
important thing.
When I check out a page like FreeBSD's, I can download the distro in two
clicks total! And I've downloaded Debian numerous times, still when a friend
asked me, I had to - once more - find my way to what I want. Just... put a
big red download button on the index page somewhere, and make it easier for
an "ordinary user" to download the distro.
Perhaps, if you must, keep the old download site, but make it an option:
other download methods & other download forms, or something like that. I
hate to see such a good distro loose its user base because it's EASIER TO
FIND the correct download link of some other one. Please!
If I had the time and determination to write the mail, at least consider it.
I hope you see it's true. You're on the first page of Google search results
page, and still, year after year, most downloaded distro is always some
other one. And usually, we're not that close for the reputation we get.
Thank you,
