There is already some information regarding LDAP on wiki.debian.org. Have you compared your documents with those? How do they fit in?
P.S. I'm after a guide on how to authenticate against Active Directory from Debian - preferably using Kerberos + LDAP using Samba only to mount existing user shares as home directories.
