Package: www.debian.org
Severity: normal
The icon at http://www.debian.org/favicon.ico has broken transparency.
It has the swirl mixed with white with the 100% white parts marked as
transparent.
Either a file format that supports full transparency should be used and
partially transparent parts marked as such or a white background should
be added to the icon to make this preudo-transparency work as intended.
Actually there should be a background to start with because in the
unlikely event somebody had a UI color similar to that of the Debian
logo color they will have hard time noticing the logo at all.

Thanks for caring about the details, I just fixed it, it should be
online in a few hours.

I disagree that such a disruptive change would be welcome, though (e.g.
that would make browser tabs pretty ugly if the background isn't white,
witch is a pretty rare default).
