but no change to the page and add these to debian-de.css,
and it works on my Firefox13.0.2:

blockquote[lang=en] q:after { content: "\201D"; }
blockquote[lang=en] q q:before { content: "\2018"; }
blockquote[lang=en] q q:after { content: "\2019"; }
yes, just did remove '.quote'
btw, you don't need to know all languages, need only languages you quoted :-)
