Following successful installations over a number of years, UCL Estates in partnership with the multi-discipline Construction Consultancy Potter Raper Partnership again selected cubicles, vanity units and ducting from the internationally renowned manufacturer Kemmlit GmbH. With highly demanding timescales the installation at Torrington Place London WC1, comprising of six floors of male and female washrooms areas, was completed during the short summer holiday. Specifying the Cronus framed cubicle system, manufactured from highly durable and resistant 13mm solid grade laminate, the Estates team were once again assured of an installation which would easily withstand the rigours of day to day use in student accommodation. The flexibility of the base material allowed further use in duct panelling, urinal modesty screens and vanity units providing a fully integrated and complementing range of products, with the inherent robust and hard-wearing properties of the laminate material. Peak Contractors, specialist in public sector refurbishment projects, managed the scheme providing their usual skill, expertise and construction know-how.
