Thank you for your reply. However, I'm still puzzled by current branching 
inside Git repository.

From what I could see [1], there is no "debian" branch. However, there is a 
"debian-master" branch and "master" branch. If we put tons of merge commit 
aside, the sole difference between branch "debian-master" and branch "master" 
is a translation commit in po/ directory. I'm not quite sure about the purpose 
of doing so. Why not just make them the same branch?

There is also a ubuntu-master branch but no merging have taken place in the 
last 3 year. My thought is that the "ubuntu-master" branch can still merge 
changes taken place in master/debian-master branch even if master/debian-
master branch are the same. Resolving conflicts should be trivial.

Anyway, I just want to know whether I should update debian-master branch (by 
merging) after I committed translations on master branch.
