Hi there, I'd like to know if anyone has managed to configure a Gateway EV500A monitor to work with GDM or any other graphics package under Debian (Woody/Testing). I have tried numerous settings of my screen using xf86config, but each time I run startx, I get a message saying that it could not find any screens that it can use. By the way, the monitor uses an ATI Rage 128 VR chipset with 8 MB of memory. I'd appreciate any configuration that has worked for you.
