Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.0.1-4
Severity: normal
In the documentation file README.mouse.gz, a "usb" protocol is talked
of, however when I tried to use it the X server complained that
"usb" is an unknown protocol.
Interestingly though, the mouse driver seems to work (to some extent)
when I do the following for my Intellimouse Explorer
* set the protocol to Explorer/PS2
* set the device to /dev/input/mice
Thanks,

For the record, that seems to still apply somehow. That file was
updated by Alan Coopersmith recently though, and that looks
better. Given that people should be using evdev (at least on Linux),
and read manpages (man 4 mouse for that one) if they need to configure
stuff, I'm closing this bugreport.
