regarding xdm: if invoke-rc.d start or restart fails, tell user to look at

If this is not the case it is now your responsibility to reopen the
Bug report if necessary, and/or fix the problem forthwith.

or
invoke-rc.d xdm start
fails, it would be best to print some message, e.g.,
..."failed, see /var/log/XFree86.0.log"
Any message is better than none.
