But I think I already did that: # grep terminate /etc/default/keyboard XKBOPTIONS="lv3:ralt_switch,terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp" Trying with no xorg.conf and: # grep terminate /etc/default/keyboard XKBOPTIONS="terminate:ctrl_alt_bksp" still no luck, maybe a kfreebsd bug? > > For the record, makeing X start up with a black root window makes it > > harder to check if it is on, I cannot even see the mouse moving. > > -retro is here if you need it. Feel free to send a > patch upstream to fix the doc: > http://www.x.org/wiki/Development/Documentation/SubmittingPatches Hmm, /usr/share/doc/xloadimage/copyright says: src.doc.ic.ac.uk:/packages/X11/R5contrib/xloadimage.4.1.tar.gz src.doc.ic.ac.uk don't seem to answer on http nor ftp, and http://www.x.org/wiki/Development/BuildingX?action=fullsearch&context=180&value=xloadimage&titlesearch=Titles says "Your search query "xloadimage" didn't return any results." So, upstream don't seem to be within xorg.
