Package: xorg
Version: 1:7.7+2
Followup-For: Bug #646989

Ok, I found out the reason of the problem!
When I manage to stop the Xorg (CTRL+ALT+F1), I can see the following text-
output in an endless loop in the console:

[ 3317.717087] ata4.00: status: { DRDY }
[ 3317.717185] ata4.00: failed command: WRITE FPDMA QUEUED
.....

When searching for this, I found many similar forum-entries. Most advice to re-
connect the hard-drive to another SATA-Connector, and similar things.
Since I currently use a Hardware-Raid1, I tried to connect the hard-drive
directly to the mainboard, instead of using the additional hardware-raid-
controler. After that, the bug disappeared ! Yey :D
So only open question: Why did this happen only with debian 7 ? With Debian 6,
everything was fine! And as well WinXP does its job.
In the meantime I as well tried other distros ( Ubuntu12.04 and Fedora18 ).
Both had problems on detecting my harddrive, and I was not even able to install
them (probably caused by the same problem, the hardware-raid-controller)
Cheers,
Derek Freder
