However, running something like xterm -xrm 'XTerm*VT100*geometry: 80x24+0+21' without flushing the xrdb cache _does_ have it. Does the stuff in xrdb perhaps override the '-xrm' setting in some odd way? The size of the terminal does change when set with '-xrm', but the 'tiny menu' behavior does not change unless the cache is flushed. The problem sounds as if it may or may not be in 'xterm'... but if it isn't, I'm puzzled as to where else it could be.
