Such protocols either add completely new functionality, or extend the functionality of some other protocol either in Wayland core, or some other protocol in wayland-protocols. The package is relevant for building newer weston, GTK3 toolkit and possibly many other software components. I would like to maintain that package inside pkg-xorg team. I do not need a sponsors, co-maintainers would be great.
