Damn, I was under the impression that of the three major players, it was intel and some yardsticks back AMD/Radeon which were helping with the graphics stack. I just bought an Intel 7th generation proc. based solution based on this premise alone. They do seem to do some things https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=Intel-Coffeelake-DragonFly-Gfx but that's on BSD. If I knew this before, maybe I would have looked at AMD-based solution.
