Hi all, The problem seems to be solved : Bug #990998
fdesign is part of the xforms-library. ( Sorry for the wrong recipient, it has been the first time that I am reporting a fault at debian OS. ) Thank you for your work, Werner Heisch ---------------------------- My former mail: Package: libx11-6 Version: 2:1.6.7.1+deb10u2 Severity: important Hi all, ( In the office, I use OpenSuse, in industrial production : Debian and (debian-based Raspberry OS) ) The program 'fdesign' ( from the package xforms-tool-kit ) is quite old and bases directly on the xlib. ( This package has been widely known as 'xforms' before this name has been kidnapped by W3. ) At the end of May 2021, after having updated Opensuse, this application crashes directly after the start on one of the first button touches. I returned to the former version of libx11-6 and it works again. I have reported this problem to Suse and it is solved for Open-/Suse products. See : https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1186643 The solution is at X.org: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/xorg/lib/libx11/-/commit/ab2f59530b16bdfbf023b8e025c7c8aba3b6fd0c ( It seems to be trivial. ) I assumed, also on Debian, etc. there will be automaticly a correction, but until now ( 21. Juli) there is none. On 'stretch' and 'buster' , both updated, there is this faulty behaviour. ( Raspberry OS , following Debian, is doing the same. ) It would be nice to fix this problem and create an update. Thanks in advance Werner Heisch
