Hein, greetings. Future emails should probably be sent to debian-user for questions; it has a large distribution, and are more likely to have people who have dealt with your situation.
As for the keyboard, I suggest checking the keymap you are trying to use for a missing punctuation character. I don't remember if I saw this cause of problems in the Debian-x mail list or on the OpenBSD mail list; so, it would be a good idea to check through the file and ensure that the correct punctuations are included. I don't know about your keys situation. Did this situation work before? And, as for the fonts, this is by design. Look in /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc for the fix, or look in the debian-x archives for the last day for postings I have made on this situation. (Or is that [EMAIL PROTECTED] Drat short memory...) Cheers. * Branden Robinson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> [001107 23:49]: > ----- Forwarded message from Hein Meling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- > > From: Hein Meling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Bug(s) in xfree86? > Date: Wed, 08 Nov 2000 08:43:02 +0100 > Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Delivered-To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Organization: NTNU, Department of Telematics > X-Mailer: Mozilla 4.75 [en] (X11; U; Linux 2.2.17 i686) > X-Accept-Language: en, no > X-MIME-Autoconverted: from 8bit to quoted-printable by zevs.idi.ntnu.no id > IAA17029 > > Dear Branden, > > Hope you don't mind me sending this email to you. > > I've recently installed woody, and thus a few days ago xfree86 v4.0.1 > was installed when I updated.
