Bug#1126053: new upstream, but does it matter?

Version: 1.9.2-1+b2

Upstream provides a new version 1.10, but I wonder if this
package became deprecated? I had to deinstall the synaptics
driver to access the touchpad settings in KDE (using X11).
Lenovo T14s with AMD.
