how much output from a build of 4.2.1?

Apologies if this is a FAQ or otherwise documented (in which case a
pointer woudl be appreciated).

How much output should I expect from the build process?

More specifically: running woody (gcc 2.95.4), if I use script to capture
the output of "debian/rules build" and "debian/rules binary" is 13MB of
output "reasonable"?
