I stumbled across this bug while browsing the BTS. I'm currently running 2.4.21-pre3-ac5 (was probably running -pre2 when this happened), and using: ii xserver-s3 3.3.6-44 X server for S3 chipset-based graphics cards
I hit that bug accidentally too. So it reproduced for me without even
trying, and that's post 2.4.20.
