I tried the "ChipID" option with the following values: Option "ChipID" "R100" Option "ChipID" "RV100" Option "ChipID" "RV200" Option "ChipID" "R200" Option "ChipID" "RV250" Option "ChipID" "R300" But I still get: (II) Primary Device is: PCI 01:00:0 (EE) No devices detected. The error log of the X Server showed me something what might be interesting (or not :) (II) PCI-to-ISA bridge: (II) Bus -1: bridge is at (0:17:0), (0,-1,-1), BCTRL: 0x0008 (VGA_EN is set) (--) PCI:*(1:0:0) ATI Technologies Inc unknown chipset (0x5c61) rev 1, Mem @ 0xd8000000/27, 0xd0100000/16, I/O @ 0x9000/8 Is that the line, telling me that X doesnt recognize the card? many thanks in advance, Andreas
