Bug#233702: xserver-xfree86: no VT switch problems with KDE

It seems the problem is caused by gnome because I tried to switch VTs
in KDE and there where no problems.

I'm using "unstable".

Could you try switching VTs in KDE?
If you find no problem, close this bug.
