Yes, of course! Nevertheless, I am always confused whether -load or
-merge is appropriate; and, some attributes (e.g., charClass) do *NOT*
require any xrdb, &c. Bottomline, this:
xrdb ~/.Xresources
gave me some tiny, illegible font in all xterms. So, I stopped, then
started kdm, and your -iso10646-1 font suggestion works as I desire.

Two (2) questions remain:
[1] Why am I confused by xrdb? Why did it give me some _other_ font?
[2] Once I am in an xterm window, *HOW* can I query that window for its
current configuration?
