Ok, as requested by Branden on IRC I tested this patch. I built r1741 (I got a FTBFS and a fix that I'm filing separately), installed the new xfree86 packages and did a "mv /usr/lib/libglide3.so /tmp", restarted X, and did a glxinfo that gave correct hw accelerated info. regards, guillem
