Package: xterm
Version: 4.3.0.dfsg.1-6
Severity: important

Line 5 of /usr/X11R6/bin/uxterm is:
program=xterm

If the x-terminal-emulator alternative is pointed at uxterm, then
launching just "xterm" runs uxterm again (since /usr/bin/xterm ->
/etc/alternatives/x-terminal-emulator), recursing infinitely. Better
would be:
program=/usr/X11R6/bin/xterm

Gah, my most profuse apologies for this fuckup. I had forgotten I'd made that
link (workaround for a wm hardcoding using xterm when offline some time ago) and
asked Chris to file this bug[0] on my behalf without doing sufficent checking
first.

Sorry,

Euan.
