That's a very interesting explanation, and in fact, after removing the /dev/psaux input device section, it works correctly. The thing is that, no, i didn't notice the mouse being twice as fast as it should be, because it is a newly installed laptop, and i was using most of the time the touchpad, which now i removed one device is too slow :-/ So now, there's the problem : I made the installation using the sarge cd, and using the 2.6 install kernel, which means that even when you install a 2.6 kernel, XFree does its configuration for both. May i close the current bug and file a new one about that or may we just retitle this bug ? That could be a good thing to add to the XSF FAQ... Mike
