This is indeed a known problem with -9 - see http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=285151 and http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=285150. The bug was corrected in -10, which was uploaded yesterday, but unfortunately hasn't hit the mirrors yet. Regards, Adam
