I do not understand why this happens. Also, Matrox is accepted (in
theory) in
Alpha, as it is listed in the drivers:
ati, cirrus, glint, mga, nv, rendition, s3, s3virge, savage, siliconmotion,
tdfx, tga, vga
Please send a message to [email protected], maybe putting
debian-x in Cc:, and pointing to the bug report. There are several dedicated
people (namely Jay Eastabrook) that will debug your problem properly.
And forget your idea of going back to SuSE -- we love to keep users in
our
OS.
