----- Forwarded message from Adam Jackson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> ----- The release process and schedule worked pretty well this time around, so here's a proposed schedule for 7.2:
Branch nomination for 7.2: September 15, 2006 Branch selection for 7.2: September 29, 2006 7.2RC1: October 6, 2006 7.2RC2: October 27, 2006 7.2RC3: November 10, 2006 7.2 Release: November 17, 2006 Ok, so looking at this and comparing it to the etch release, it looks pretty certain that we'll be shipping 7.1 with etch. We'll have to be very careful about what sorts of things we backport to 7.1 for the final release, but as it stands, I think now that it's looking like the RC bugs are squashed in 7.0, we should focus on getting 7.1 in to Debian (after 7.0 migrates to testing) and then polishing 7.1 as much as possible for etch. As it stands, I want to begin pushing our remaining patches upstream and clean them out. I also plan to put 7.1 in to experimental prior to putting it in unstable, to give us some breathing room to fix minor issues that need fixing. - David Nusinow -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
