Hi!,

I haven't experimented with that one further (I used the slower but better looking configuration from that time and on, as I remember). About a year ago I even switched to Gentoo and haven't touched a Debian system since.

The problem must have been around the subpixel-rendering (or the hinting, especially... as I read, subpixel rendering doesn't work just out of the box for tfts of all sorts, at least, without the knowledge of their order of color pixel bits). ...Honestly, I don't know.

Yep, after two years, it's probably the best to close this bug report.

Best regards!,

Levente

Hi Harsfalvi,

About 2 years ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS regarding
anti-aliased fonts getting outlines on a MGA G550 board. Did you
reproduce this problem recently? If not, I will close this bug in the
next weeks.

Thanks,
Brice
