Hi, I am sorry it took so long to get back to you about this. About 7 years ago, you reported a bug to the Debian BTS regarding xhost not working in the Xvfb server when using XAUTHORITY. Did you reproduce this problem recently? With Xorg/Etch? If not, I will close this bug in the next weeks.
