Hi! Meanwhile I upgraded my PC to a Pentium Q6600 and one of the new Radeonhd cards. The problem still exists, but now the system is strong enoguh to live through it. also I could get a full backtrace with all symbol infos.
After killing digikam, the system returns to normal state within 10 seconds, without killling digikam, the X server remains unresponsive, but not completely dead.
