i just took a look, and it seemed fine minus two details:
- menu entry referenced "System/Administration" instead
of "Applications/System/Administration".
- empty /usr/lib dir shipped in deb file.
i've fixed both of these locally and just sent in an upload. a patch is
attached.

okay, great. if that's not a problem let's consider this a short-medium term
plan, depending on how fast i get my proposal together for the git submodules
thingie. in the meantime let's keep it where it is for now and work with
that :)
also, now that i think about it i'm a bit confused by the version string.
debian/changelog lists 0.0.0+git20071028-1, but the last upsream change on
git master was in september. not a big deal i guess...
