Kari, You are not alone with this bug and it is not fixed. I have a Thinkpad X24 also with a
lspci 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc Radeon Mobility M6 LY and this bug has been biting me for quite some time, including today's slip of the fingers, ie.
