The link suggests it is a bug in kde that makes it restart if 3D accel could not be initialized, but it doesn't seem to be the case here (the AGP message is a bit strange but doesn't seem to be failing, doesn't your card support AGP 8X?). Could you please attach your .xsession-errors when you start xorg without acceleration? I think I'm missing something on the log.
