Dear Debian developers, On my machine, a solution to this problem was to disable the RENDER extension of X:
Section "Extensions"
Option "RENDER" "false"
EndSection
Note that this bug appeared with the "testing" version of Xorg . Xorg +
xserver-xorg-video-intel on "stable" was fine with RENDER.
