Hrmpf. What's that for a broken monitor that does not supply EDID information? Can you obtain it with get-edid (in the read-edid package) instead? Your previous mail suggests that your monitor is an LG L1715S, and this monitor is presumably not _that_ old, so it should really support EDID.
