Hello,
in the Compose(5) manpage it says:
FILES
$HOME/.Xcompose
User default compose file if XCOMPOSEFILE is not set.
However I just found out why it didn't work for me: it's ~/.XCompose
instead:
21:58 #debian-devel < jcristau> modules/im/ximcp/imLcIm.c:
strcpy(name + hl, "/.XCompose");
