Dear Maintainer,

Following a recent update (within the last 3 days) double-clicking on an
inactive partition showing on the desktop (e.g. /dev/sda3 as a 'data'
partition) will not open the partition. Typically I would be prompted for
my user (sudo) password, and the partition would mount successfully at
/media/user/. Now I get an error dialog: Failed to mount "data"; Not
authorized to perform operation

I can successfully mount and unmount the partition using via the command

I am having the same issue with other applications requiring sudo
permissions, such as synaptic. Synaptic fails to launch from the default
menu icon, but will successfully launch from the command line (e.g. gksudo

I am experiencing this behavior on another computer with the same OS, DE
and current updates, so this is not an isolated case.

I believe these issues are related to PolicyKit. I have not created or
modified any plokit-1 rules or files. Maybe this is a new expectation for
