Maximiliano diagnosed the problem in #907297: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=907297#35 It is happening because of ".gtkrc-2.0" file as per https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=907297#40 As workaround I've deleted "~/.gtkrc-2.0" and the problem was fixed.
